Adding, Modifying or Removing your Information
Escape to Puerto Rico keeps listings on several categories:
- Explore Puerto Rico - Internet directory
- Suggest a Site: Want to add your site to the Escape to Puerto Rico database?
- Modify a Listing: Want to change some information on your current listing (i.e. URL, description, etc.)?
- Report a Dead Link: Found a dead link? (a link that has been moved to a new location or is no longer available)
- Find a Business - company addresses, phone numbers and web site or e-mail address
- Find a Person - individuals
- Plan your Trip
- Lodging - hotels, villas, resorts, inns, paradors and guest houses
- Dining - restaurants and cafes
- Attractions - beaches, museums, galleries, casinos, stores, malls and more
- Events - festivals, carnivals and fairs
- Check your spelling.
- Use significant words. Eliminate noise words such as:
- in English: the, an, about, and, of, or, in, it, with, you, etc.
- in Spanish: de, el, ellos, en, a, con, para, por, sin, y, etc.
- Use words of three characters or more.
- Use quotes around terms to search for an exact phrase.
- Avoid using special characters, punctuation or wildcards such as %, $, /, #, -, _, \, [, ] and *. Escape to Puerto Rico does not use wildcards or an asterisk (*) to broaden a search. The system allow browaden search itself, if you are looking for "casa" the search results will return: casa, casas, casamiento, casandra, etc.
- Try singular words instead of plural.
- Rephrase your search using synonyms of your search terms.
Once in a while you'll find that you can't access a particular site. Your browser may show one of the following error messages:
- DNS Lookup Failed - A DNS (domain name server) Lookup Failed message indicates that the browser could not contact your domain name server, or that the domain name server was not aware of the site. Make sure the domain name is not misspelled.
- File Not Found - The page may no longer exist, or it may have moved to another address.
- Server Error or Server Busy Error - The computer you're trying to contact may be offline, may have crashed, or may be busy. You might want to try again later.
